It's been a busy 2 months at the Whitaker house.
Having a new baby in the house is exhausting and amazing.
Here are a few pictures of the newest member of our family.
Happy Mother's Day to me, and Happy Birth Day to Caroline.
Daddy's Girl.
Daddy and daughter napping together.
One of the first pictures with her beautiful blue eyes open.
So itty bitty in her crib.
Trying to find our thumb???
This is also a good view of her curved pinky finger.
We keep hearing that she looks like Dan and Brady,
but that tiny curved pinky finger is all me.
Some firsts...
First time in car seat- home from the hospital.
First bath at 4 weeks.
I didn't want to submerge her torso until her belly button completely healed.
It took 4 weeks, and she was left with an outie.
First dress.
So many people were excited to meet our sweet little girl.
Aunt Lori and cousins, Violet and Kay
Grandma
Cousins, Jack and Charlie
Cousins, Ben and Grace
Caroline has 2 hemangiomas.
They will likely continue to grow over the next few months.
They should start to resolve after her first birthday.
While they are typically nothing to worry about,
she is returning to the doctor in a few weeks to have them rechecked.
The traditional monthly birthday pictures...
1 month
2 months
At 2 months, Caroline weighs 9 lbs, 8 oz. (25th percentile) and is 22 1/2 in. (50 percentile). She has a hard time sleeping during the day unless she is in her swing. However, she sleeps great at night. She typically sleeps from about 9:30pm until 6:30am uninterrupted. She loves being talked to and is becoming vocal herself. She smiled for the first time, while awake, at 3 weeks. She rolled from tummy to back for the first time at 8 1/2 weeks. She hasn't done it again since then. To be perfectly honest, I think it was more of a tip over, than a roll over.
We are trying to cherish every precious moment with our sweet baby girl, because we are very aware of how quickly she'll grow up.
